Around 250 people attended a public meeting on coal seam gas hosted by Jamie Parker at Leichhardt Town Hall.
The Greens have been instrumental in demanding caution and accountability from the industry and Jamie will continue to work closely with Greens Spokesperson for Mining Jeremy Buckingham. Jeremy has done great work in providing a voice for communities opposed to this damaging industry. Last week it was announced that a wide-ranging parliamentary inquiry would be carried out into coal seam gas mining – in part a result of Greens campaigning.
